Puppy Kindergarten
Puppy Kindergarten introduces your puppy to basic manners and gives him the self-confidence and social skills he needs to last a lifetime!
We'll begin work on basic behaviors like sit, leave it and come, and problem-solve your priority issues: chewing, biting, jumping up and house training. But most importantly, we’ll emphasize socialization that “vaccinates” your pup against adult behavior problems.
We know how exhausting it can be to keep up with a puppy, so your registration fee includes lots of supervised play time with other puppies during and after classes AND a beginner’s food puzzle.
Are you interested in more hands-on support than a class offers? Check out our Super Puppy Program.
When and where are classes held?
Puppy classes are held indoors at our training center in New Richmond.
We have open enrollment so you will begin your 6 weeks as soon as a spot is available.
We currently offer 3 class sessions:
Sundays at noon
Tuesdays at 5:30 pm
Wednesdays at 5:30 pm
During registration, please indicate which sessions you CAN attend. Within a few days of registration you will receive an email confirming your session assignment.
What does open enrollment mean?
In any given class, puppies are entering and graduating every week. You will begin class as soon as a spot is available - almost always within a week of registration.
Who should come?
All puppies who will be under 6 months of age on the first day of class. All sizes, all breeds, all temperaments welcome!
Please make sure your puppy has had at least one deworming and his first round of DHPP vaccinations. Bordetella is recommended but not required.
How should I prepare for classes?
Do not feed your puppy before class. We need him good and hungry.
Prep really yummy food, cut up into small pea-sized pieces. Think soft food like hotdogs, cheese, chicken, beef, salami, liver. No hard or dry treats, please.
Have available a bully stick or Kong for your puppy (for break times).
Please have him on a regular 6-foot leash and a regular buckle collar or harness. No retractable leashes, choke or prong collars, please.
By clicking REGISTER, you confirm that you understand and agree to our terms and conditions.
